Longing for His appearing
When I first heard this rendition of O Come O Come Emmanuel, my mind and spirit were immediately drawn to images of our Lord Jesus’ second coming, the mourning through trials of this life and the longing, we, the global Bride of Christ, have for Him. It prompted true thanks, true love for what He did in His suffering and resurrection to overcome our sin and death. More so, something came over me, a sense of His calling to remind the Bride of how scripture pleads for us to follow Him, to be awake, to have our lamps full, to watch, to long for Him to come and make all things right.
Faced with my own possibly soon departure from this world and more and more impressed that history is accelerating quickly to the day when He may appear, I was compelled to produce a video matching the images that originally ran through my mind.
Thanks to OneWay studios, the video captures what was in my heart perfectly. Watching it regularly has become an amazing spiritual spark to sense His presence, to be full of the Spirit, full of faith, thankful and to lovingly, longingly desire His coming.
When Mary, carrying Jesus in her womb went to see Elizabeth, John the Baptist leapt in Elizabeth’s womb at Mary’s approach. Similarly, now, each time I watch this video, the Holy Spirit in me leaps and I find myself, bowing before Him, loving and longing for Him, rejoicing for who He is and what He has done and what He has promised He is going to do.
